I am pleased to present to you our exciting
line of quality chocolate and confection products.
I have been involved in the business for over
44 years and continue our Swiss family tradition
of "Old World Perfection in Confection". I
grew up in a family home in Switzerland that
was the site of a bakery business since the
16th Century. Certain professional tools from
the bakery are still in my possession. This
early period was a time when Jacques Cartier,
the famous explorer discovered Canada. Our
business of chocolate and confectionery manufacturing
is an old family tradition that also originated
over 150 years ago.
My family has attended many major international
food exhibitions with great success. Amongst
them, the Rey family won rewards in the Swiss
National Exhibition in Zurich, 1939, seven
gold medals for outstanding confectionery
products in 1954 (Hospes Exhibitions, Berne,
Switzerland) and in 1964 (Swiss National Exhibition,
Lausanne, Switzerland). The awards reinforced
my ambition. When I moved to British Columbia,
I decided to try my hand at making high quality
chocolate on Canadian soil. Rene Rey Swiss
Chocolates Ltd. was established in 1974 in
North Vancouver, B.C. and continued the Swiss
tradition with award winning products. We
develop new and exciting chocolate/confection
products under the "Nature Canada"
theme that are unique in the marketplace like
Ice Wine and Maple Wine chocolates, Sun,Moon,Stars
chocolates, Maple Nut
chocolates and Maple Sugar chocolate products
that have found many happy and satisfied customers.
We are specialized in exporting our famous
chocolates worldwide.
I'm looking forward to the future. The family
name lives on, as my daughters are actively
